APPLE CRUMBLE
INGREDIENTS
4 MEDIUM APPLES
1/2 CUP COCONUT SUGAR
1 CUP PLAIN FLOUR
1/2 CUP OATS
1/3 CUP VEGAN BUTTER
1 TABLESPOON BAKING POWDER
1 TABLESPOON CINNAMON
1 TABLESPOON NUTMEG
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 180C and grease a deep pie dish.
Peel and grate apples then add to a bowl with half
amount of sugar cinnamon and nutmeg. Set this aside
while you make the crumble topping.
To make the crumble topping place the flour, baking
powder, oats, butter and the rest of sugar into a bowl and rub together with fingertips, fork or pastry cutter. Continue until it makes crumbs with a few small lumps of butter left.
Place apple mix in to a greased pie dish and add crumble mix on top.
Bake for 40-50mins until the crumble mix is golden brown and the apples are soft.
Serve with dairy free custard or ice cream.
